The Ryan Agency is seeking an individual who likes people, has a heart to serve others, and desires to be part of a team that works well together in a fast-paced office environment.

 

The Introduction:

 

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative who will work directly with clients who call or visit the agency.

The Ryan Agency is one of the largest and fastest-growing Independent Insurance Agencies in the tri-county area. We serve clients across New York and Pennsylvania but concentrate on our local footprint in Steuben, Allegany, and Livingston counties.

 

The Ryan Agency has been operating for the past 55 years. Though we’ve got some history, the agency is on the leading edge in the use of technology.

 

We represent 30+ insurance companies, that insure 15,000+ of your friends and neighbors as well as 1,000+ Businesses and Organizations.

 

The average staff person has been with the agency for 12 years and has 15 years of insurance experience. Our agency’s work culture is one where the client is the priority. The Position:

 

The roles that are currently open are that of a Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Rep position would require an applicant to seek a Property & Casualty License and previous insurance experience. 

 

This is a full-time position. The pay level will be commensurate with the applicant's skill set, and experience.

An applicant for either position will need to be someone who:

 

  • Likes People – Can you put other people’s needs first and desires to serve and solve problems? Your general disposition and tone must support this!
  • Team Player – Do you enjoy working with others and are you willing to be held accountable by your teammates?
  • Multi-Tasker – Are you able to work in a fast-paced office with constant interruptions while maintaining an eye for detail?
  • Desire to Learn – Do you have a desire to learn and grow in a position and broaden your perspective?
  • Good Communicator – Are you able to speak, write and type in an organized, understandable fashion?
  • Computer/Technology Experience – Can you type at around 40 words per minute? Do you know your way around a computer, web browser, and word processor?
  • Work Hours – 8:30AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.
  • Long Term Commitment – We’re looking for candidates who could see themselves in this environment for the long term.
  • Reliability – Can our clients and other team members count on you consistently?

 

The Location:

 

The position could end up working in any of our three locations, however this is likely to be a Hornell office location position.

 

  • Primary Position Opening: Hornell NY - 57 Broadway
  • Jasper NY - 3832 St Rte 417
  • Wellsville, NY - 186 S. Main St.

 

 Initial training will primarily occur at our Hornell office on 57 Broadway, Hornell. The office is located at the end of Broadway Mall next to OTB and Peebles Department Store.
