Which US States Require Me to Have a Front License Plate on my Vehicle?

Take a guess at the number of States before reading below

It’s interesting that most of the states requiring two plates are concentrated in the:
  • West
  • Northwest 
  • Northeast
Those states only requiring a Rear Plate show up primarily in the:
  • Southeast
Texas and Ohio are the only states that don’t border another state with the same plate law.

In total, 31 states (and the District of Columbia) require front license plates.
